Bronze for the Beacon

Restoration Village

As you all will probably know by now, the Beacon reached the finals of Restoration Village and came a respectable third. On behalf of everyone involved, northronaldsay.com would like to send out a great big 'thank you' to you all for pledging your support. Don't lose heart either: many of the buildings (including the croft in Shetland) from previous Restoration series that haven't won the grand prize have still gone on to be restored because this programme raises so much awareness, so there's still a very good chance that this great British monument will be saved.

Thanks again, and if you want to come and visit the Beacon, don't forget that you'll always be welcome (and please continue to check back for website updates to find out more about this great island).
