Abstract
The Saccade-based Display can present 2D images without any screen using only a single line of flickering LEDs. We can perceive 2D images thanks to the afterimage on the retina, drawn by the fast eye movement called a“saccade".
The concept of our display is to show 2D images without forcing viewers to do conscious eye movement. The display uses the fact that in daily life our eyes are moving naturally and unconsciously to get visual information.
